Music Game

Yeah.  I'm somewhat bored, so I'm going to do this even though no one comments on here anymore.  Myself included.  :P

Step 1: Put your music player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly (No lyric hunting! That is cheating!)

#1: Stuck here on this highway in a river of red lights
#2: Fifteen kids in an old church van
#3: Why, why are You still here with me?
#4: So early morning when You come to me, comfort me
#5: Grey's my favorite color
#6: They say I'm too young to really understand
#7: I've been in control too long
#8: You make me feel so alive
#9: Man of courage, with Your message of peace
#10: The King of rock, some say left
#11: She's finding love in the back of the car
#12: See it in your eyes, the pain you keep inside
#13: My hands are searching for You
#14: So lonely and afraid, hold on, somethin's bound to break
#15: My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like you
#16: You may in London, waiting on a train
#17: The wind is moving but I am standing still
#18: Life and love and why
#19: Can you try to hide what's in your heart?
#20: It's the principle, it's the issue
#21: Declaration, declaration
#22: Sometimes our minds can make us believe
#23: And good good good to go
#24: Miss independent, Miss self-sufficient, Miss Keep-Your-Distance
#25: I'll say what I want to say
#26: Excuse me, but I've got a request
#27: Here I stand, empty hands
#28: Simon Peter won't you put those nets down?
#29: Stories, we all got 'em
#30: Flew over Alaska, we say the frozen mountains pierce the clouds

April

Today is the first day of April.  Today is April Fools day. When I was younger, I used to look forward to this day.  It was the one day a year I could really try and trick people.  Unfortunetally for me, it didn't usually work.  Most people were just all "whatever" about April Fools and ignored whatever effort I may have decided to make.
Now the only reason I really care about this day is because I have younger siblings who usually try and pull something today.  However, they seem to have forgotten that today is April 1st.  Hooray for me!  Maybe I'll make it through the day without them trying to trick me in some way, shape, or form...But I'm not going to hold my breath.

Monday's results and Tuesday's goals

Read The Case For Christ for an hour
Memorize 1 verse

Practice my solo
Write in our story for half an hour
Study for an hour
Exercise/stretch for 20 minutes
Do regular chores

Read my Bible

So Monday I almost met all my goals.  I didn't study for a full hour, but I did study some.

The verse I memorized is:
Matthew 20:27-28- And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto but to minister and to give His life a ransom for all.   KJV.

That's from memory, so if it's wrong, I guess I didn't quite memorize it...Anyways.

So goals for tomorrow...

Read The Case For Christ for an hour
Exercise/stretch for 20 minutes
Memorize at least one verse
Write for half an hour
Study
Do lots of math
Clean off dresser
Put clean sheets on sister's bed

That looks good for now.  We'll see how good I do tomorrow.

Monthly goals

So I decided that I should also have goals for the whole month.  This month is March.  So my goals for March are going to be:

Read the first Anne book
Edit at least one of my previously written stories
Start writing part 2 of The Gathering Dusk
Memorize the rest of my verses
Get b-day gift for J
Save money for and purchase nice keyboard and possibly a stand
Read Secret Keeper by Dannah Gresh
Finish work in math book
Finish crocheting at least one blanket

I think that's all for now...I may add more later.

Works better with goals

So I've decided to try setting certain goals for myself to see if it works for me to get more done.  I think that maybe if I have goals to achieve in a day, and if I have a reward waiting at the end of the day if I meet my goals, then I'll get more done and get it done quicker.  So I'm gonna try it.  And this week I have to:

Read The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel
Memorize a few verses
Study all new lessons and old ones for Quiz Team
Practice my solo
Write my part of J's and mine story
Copy poems from my comp to paper
Exercise/stretch more to be ready for Saturday
Read my Bible more
Do regular chores

For today I want to:

Read The Case For Christ for an hour
Memorize 1 verse
Practice my solo
Write in our story for half an hour
Study for an hour
Exercise/stretch for 20 minutes
Do regular chores
Read my Bible

So if I can do all that, my reward will probably be going to the movies with Dylan.  If we can't do that, I'll find something else.

I'll update on my progress as I go along.  Unless I forget...
